Abstract

Architecture is one of cultural achievements, that highlight the members of the  society  needs from variety buildings, to meet the requirements of everyday life and at the same time reflect the religious  and secular trends of economic, intellectual and technical potential of the society and provided the environment for the sons of potential resources and how to use and benefit from the positives and avoid the negatives. We selected the Architecture of basin Makhoul dam sites in the middle Assyrian period to be the subject of our research, what are enjoying this area of ​​natural resources and environmental advantages, have made them the focus of the population of Mesopotamia and arrivals to and from earliest times to the present, as well as the large number of archaeological sites settled in the  middle Assyrian period  in this region and frequent buildings of his excavating recently and which have not been studied so far in an integrated manner these sites are tlull Agamiyya II,  sabagiyya, farha, Nul, Sader I and II, Hukna, Hanas, Hirbat Galmud, Tulul al – Aqr and Tall al Naml. This was reflected as enjoyed by residents of these sites from population growth and economic prosperity and development of the cultural and arts and architecture, the revelations of the remains of ancient settlements especially  in the buildings ,  these sites shows that it was an important settlement Tulul al – Aqr City made an important and integrated architecture for cities is an example in this period represented defensive walls and fortifications and distribution facility for urban , and the architecture of the residential neighborhoods of sites that date back to the middle Assyrian period seems that houses are arranged in neighborhoods planned in advance and set houses and trends spaces and their relationship to each other, we were able to distinguish several models Architecture in their homes schemes .
