Classification study of scales and fins of Iraqi Barbus subquincunciatus

Abstract

Five of local Barbus subquincunciatus fish was collected from medal of Iraq to study scales and fins of this fish as a new classification way, which dependent a histological differences between these local spices back to Cyprinidae, this is the aim of this study on these local fish which it is now one of the scarcest spices in Iraq. The histological sections shows of the fins of this fish a private imprint differ from the rest from the other spices in the same family and there is no clear differences of scales of this fish between the other spices in the same local Cyprinidae family.
